About K'Lynn
My name is K’Lynn (Kay-Lynn) Mitchell, and I specialize in women’s health, breastfeeding, and infant and child nutrition. My journey into this field began with my own struggles around weight as a child. It wasn’t until I worked with a dietitian that I discovered the power of a balanced, healthy lifestyle—not just for weight loss, but for finding joy in movement and developing a positive relationship with food. That experience inspired me to help other women and families build confidence and trust in their own bodies. Today, I bring both personal insight and professional expertise to empower mothers and families to nourish themselves and their children with care, compassion, and confidence.
Approach to care
With a background in community health and maternal-child nutrition, I provide evidence-based, culturally responsive care to families, empowering them to make informed choices that strengthen health outcomes across generations. My work is grounded in the belief that supporting women during pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond creates lasting impact for both families and communities. I also use motivational interviewing techniques during my nutrition counseling sessions.
Your first session with K'Lynn
When you meet with me for the first time, you can expect empathy, care, and a few laughs along the way. We’ll bond over food, share stories, and begin building a trusting relationship that goes beyond meal plans. My goal is for you to leave our session feeling hopeful, supported, and encouraged—not overwhelmed. Together, we’ll start creating a path toward a healthier lifestyle that feels realistic, joyful, and sustainable for you and your family.
