About Kristen
With over a decade of experience as a registered dietitian, Kristen is passionate about the connection between eating well and feeling well. Her career has spanned inpatient hospital care, outpatient diabetes and weight loss clinics, cancer centers, and community-based prevention programs. She is a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist and has previously held board certifications in oncology nutrition and nutrition support. Kristen believes in the power of food and lifestyle to prevent and manage chronic conditions, and she thrives when helping clients take control of their health in sustainable, meaningful ways. Whether supporting someone through a health diagnosis or guiding them toward long-term wellness, she brings compassion, conventional and functional science-backed knowledge, and a strong belief that health should never come at the cost of joy.
Approach to care
Kristen’s approach is deeply patient-centered and always begins with listening. Every plan she creates is fully individualized—shaped by her clients’ goals, cultural backgrounds, food preferences, cooking confidence, and daily lives. She gently draws from approaches like intuitive eating, mindful eating, and motivational interviewing, but primarily follows a solution-focused model that encourages practical, achievable change. Clients can expect to feel empowered after each session—with a clear plan, renewed motivation, and actionable steps toward both short- and long-term goals. Kristen believes that success isn't just about the numbers; it’s about building confidence, finding joy in food, and learning how to nourish yourself without sacrificing culture, flavor, or fun.
