About Kristen

I’m Kristen. I am a Registered Dietitian with more than 20 years of experience working in the community, clinical, and outpatient sittings. I was a co-owner of a nutrition consulting company for many years. I have a background in teaching college level nutrition classes, as well as community group education and corporate wellness classes. My interest in nutrition and journey to become a Registered Dietitian started early in life when I was diagnosed with food allergies. As I navigated my diet, my interest in nutrition and helping others grew. As a dietitian, I have had the opportunity to explore specialties from infants to the elderly, providing nutrition education for various pediatric conditions, women’s health/wellness, diabetes, heart health, chronic disease prevention, and weight management.

Approach to care

My approach is about meeting you where you are - actively listening, and being compassionate and non-judgmental. I am dedicated to understanding your unique story. I strive to use a holistic approach, nurturing overall health through evidence-based nutrition guidelines. I want to prioritizing your wishes and needs to work together in setting goals. Each nutrition session will be personalized as we make steps towards the ultimate goal, aiming to make nutrition approachable, starting with small changes.

Your first session with Kristen

I believe that nutrition should be enjoyable and I strive to be supportive, encouraging and empowering to help you meet your wellness goals. In our first session together, you can anticipate a warm, welcoming environment where your concerns and goals are priority. We'll start by getting to know each other and discussing your health background, medical history, dietary preferences, and lifestyle factors. From there, we will collaborate to develop a personalized nutrition and action plan that fits into your daily routine. I will strive to meet you where you are - finding creative and practical solutions for helping you meet your nutrition goals.
