About Kristin
Iāve been a dietitian for nearly 20 years, and still love what I doāhelping people heal their relationship with food, feel confident in their bodies, and build habits that support their long-term well-being. I work with adults of all ages, but especially enjoy supporting women through the unique challenges of nutrition, health, and body image at every life stage. My approach is rooted in Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size (HAES). I meet clients with empathy and zero judgment, helping them set realistic, values-aligned goalsānot just chase a number on the scale. Whether you're navigating diabetes, recovering from bariatric surgery, supporting heart health, or feeling stuck in a cycle of guilt around food, I'm here to help you find a more peaceful path. Outside of work, I love baking, getting lost in a good book, and hand-binding journals. I first discovered nutrition as a kid caring for my grandparentsāand that early spark still fuels my passion for compassionate, practical care.
Approach to care
Nutrition is personalāwhich is why I take the time to really get to know you, your lifestyle, and your goals before offering any advice. My role isnāt to hand you a strict set of rules or tell you what you āshouldā be doing. Instead, I listen, support, and help you uncover what feels realistic and meaningful for you. I take an Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size (HAES)-aligned approach, which means we focus on health behaviors, not numbers or diets. Together, we work toward a more balanced relationship with foodāone that allows for flexibility, satisfaction, and self-compassion. Whether you're managing a chronic condition or just feeling overwhelmed by conflicting nutrition advice, my goal is to help you feel empowered, not pressured. Progress doesn't have to be perfect. Iām here to celebrate your wins, help you navigate the challenges, and remind you that itās okay to take things one small, sustainable step at a time.
Your first session with Kristin
Our first session is all about getting to know you. Iāll have reviewed your intake forms ahead of time, so we can dive right into a thoughtful conversation about your health history, lifestyle, relationship with food, and whatās bringing you to nutrition counseling. Weāll spend most of the time gathering information and building a shared understanding of your goalsāwhat you want to feel, experience, or shift long-term. If thereās time, Iāll introduce a bit of gentle education and weāll work together to set one small, realistic goal to get started. Above all, I want you to feel safe, supported, and never judged. This is a space where we move at your pace, with care and compassion. Every step we take is personalized to you, and weāll navigate it together.
