About Kristin
Kristin is a Masters level registered Dietitian licensed in multiple states. She became an RD after developing multiple food allergies and Eosinophilic Esophagitis as a child. Through years of medications and elimination diets, Kristin made the decision to help other individuals on their nutrition journeys. On her path to becoming a registered dietitian she has had the privilege of working in a variety of settings including inpatient, outpatient and in community and food service programs. This broad multidisciplinary experience contributed to her advancing knowledge. Kristin now sees clients with diverse backgrounds and needs while specializing in EoE, food allergies and ARFID.
Approach to care
Kristin Approaches care with her clients on an individual needs basis. She aims to create a safe space for everyone and to utilize her experience in behavioral health to help improve one's relationship with food. She structures her sessions by meeting each client where they are at on their nutrition journey and encouraging them to set small attainable goals. Kristin knows that her clients deserve the best care which is why she aims to continue to learn and grow as a Dietitian. Kristin uses a balanced eating approach empowering her clients to have a healthy relationship with food.
Your first session with Kristin
Sessions begin with an introduction to get to know one another so that clients feel comfortable when sharing their nutrition goals. Next, I ask questions regarding each clients health and nutrition history. Nutrition education is provided as an introduction to future sessions. We will then wrap up the session by setting a small attainable goal to focus on between the initial session and the follow-up session. Finally, I ask the client to identify additional nutrition goals they would like to accomplish at future sessions. This allows for clients to really be the driving force behind their nutrition care.
