About Kristin

Hi! My name is Kristin and I’m not only a seasoned dietitian, but a true foodie at my core. You can count on me to be the compassionate listener, the problem-solver, and the nutrition resource you’re expecting, but as a self-taught home cook and baker, I can also translate the nutritional science into practical, enjoyable cooking skills and healthy eating habits for you. I’ve also been a hospital dietitian for the past 8+ years and have experience working with a variety of health conditions such as kidney disease, heart disease, pre-diabetes, diabetes, and weight management. So whether you have general nutrition questions or need help navigating a specific health concern, I’ll guide you towards a sustainable and joyful relationship with food.

Approach to care

Learning new habits and information surrounding health and nutrition can feel like trying to learn any new skill: a little frustrating and intimidating at first, but useful and rewarding with enough practice and the right support. My approach to care is to meet you where you're at, then empower you to make sustainable health changes through doable and realistic steps that fit into your lifestyle. Nutrition should be individualized, which is why we're working one on one. What we find to work for you won't be the same as what works for someone else and that's ok. I also recognize that everyone learns differently, so go ahead and ask your questions, ask for clarification, and ask me to explain it another way if you need - I’ll do my best!

Your first session with Kristin

My ask is that you come to our first session with an open mind and a willingness to share. What I’d like to know is - What brought you here and how can I help? The first session gives me time to get to know you, understand your medical history, your habits surrounding health and nutrition, your lifestyle, and what's important to you. We'll set goals together and you'll get access to multiple resources to further support you along the way. Choosing to prioritize your health is a great first step, let's see where we can get by working together.
