About Kristin
Hi, I'm Kristin. I have 2 years of experience working in nutrition and earned my Master of Science in Nutrition & Dietetics from Mississippi State University. My clinical and hospital work, community health roles, two years with WIC, and my current full-time position in long-term care have taught me to meet people where they are and adapt to different settings. I’m grateful to practice with the RD, LDN credentials guiding my work, and I bring a steady curiosity to every session. Outside of work, I’m pursuing yoga teacher training, I have six cats, and I love reading and sharing moments with friends. I’m especially passionate about plant-based eating and helping patients build balanced, sustainable habits.
Approach to care
My care philosophy is grounded in evidence and compassion. I use evidence-based strategies while honoring your story and goals. I walk with you in a warm, nonjudgmental way, meeting you wherever you are. We translate science into practical, doable steps that fit your life, not a one-size-fits-all plan. I practice a weight-neutral, HAES-inspired lens and prioritize lasting habits over quick fixes. Looking at health holistically, I consider sleep, stress, and nourishment as parts of a bigger picture. I also emphasize education so you feel confident to make informed choices, whether you’re exploring plant-based options, supporting cardiac health, addressing eating concerns, or navigating tube feeds when needed.
Your first session with Kristin
Our first appointment is a welcoming conversation about you. We'll review your medical history and current routine, explore your goals, and set short-term steps that feel doable. You don't need to have everything figured out before we meet; we'll talk about learning style, Nourish expectations, and how we can tailor our time together. We focus on a collaborative approach, so we’ll create a plan that reflects your life and values. You’ll leave with a clear sense of the next small steps and the confidence that we’ll move forward together, without pressure or judgment.
