About Kristin
I hold a bachelors degree in human nutrition from Stephen F. Austin State University and have been a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist since 2004. I live in Austin Texas with my husband, our teenage son, our great dane and three tiny dogs.
Approach to care
I enjoy talking with every unique and diverse person that I have the privilege of educating and guiding. I place value on patient-centered care with education guided by evidence-based principles. I encourage healthy eating in the context of sustainability and flexibility, and believe that a healthy relationship with food is liberating when one knows the healing attributes that a well-balance diet and lifestyle can grant us.
Your first session with Kristin
Our first session will be comprised mainly of my getting to know about you! I will want to know your health history, what your health/lifestyle goals are, your daily home/work routine, and any specific concerns/questions you may have. There will also be time for some education/discussion and we will set a couple of small goals as well.
