About Kristina
Hi, I’m Kristina. I’m a Registered Dietitian with an MS who loves combining the analytical sciences with creativity! It is my passion to help lessen the burden with those struggling with chronic conditions. I earned my Dietetics Degree from UW–Madison and completed my Dietetic Internship at Ohio State. I bring 2 years of RD experience, including outpatient and inpatient diabetes and clinical dietetics care, plus a background in research/academia settings. For 17 years I taught classes in the biological sciences in a community college setting where I endeavored to help students of all backgrounds feel comfortable and connected to science. Outside of work, I teach Aqua-Zumba type fitness classes, and I enjoy hiking, kayaking, dance, music, tennis, pickleball, and Euchre. I love thinking outside the box to help people feel like their best selves inside and out!
Approach to care
My care philosophy rests on collaboration, empathy, and understanding of the big picture. I practice with Health at Every Size principles, honoring that health shows up at every size and focusing on sustainable behaviors over quick fixes. I’ll help you understand the science behind nutrition and translate it into daily habits. My work is idea and action oriented, with clear steps, and always in a warm, nonjudgmental space. I emphasize a holistic view that considers sleep, stress, and mood, and I’ll explore the possibilities you so you can make informed choices long after our sessions. Together we’ll tailor a plan that fits your life and your values.
Your first session with Kristina
Our first appointment is all about you. We'll start by reviewing your medical history, lab work or biometrics, and your current routines. We’ll talk about your goals, concerns, and what success looks like in the short term. This is a low pressure, collaborative conversation, not a judgment. You don’t need to have everything figured out yet; we’ll pace the session to fit you and set 1–2 achievable goals for our next meeting. I’ll answer questions and help you feel confident about the path ahead.
