About Kristy
I am a registered dietitian specializing in the treatment of eating disorders and disordered eating. I have experience supporting adolescents and adults across multiple levels of care, including residential treatment (RTC), partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and outpatient settings. This breadth of experience allows me to meet clients where they are in recovery and provide individualized, developmentally appropriate care throughout each stage of healing.
Approach to care
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based, weight-inclusive care. I work with clients to rebuild trust with their bodies, challenge rigid food rules, and develop sustainable patterns of nourishment that support both physical and mental well-being. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel empowered to make decisions aligned with their values and recovery goals. I also value working closely with families and interdisciplinary treatment teams to provide comprehensive, individualized care. I am passionate about helping clients develop a more peaceful relationship with food, reconnect with their body’s needs, and move toward a fuller, more meaningful life.
Your first session with Kristy
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a supportive, collaborative relationship. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable sharing your experiences, concerns, and goals. During this session, we will talk about your history with food, eating patterns, and your relationship with your body. I will also ask about your medical history, current routines, support system, and any challenges you may be facing. This helps me understand the full picture of your needs so we can create an individualized approach to your care. We will also discuss your goals for recovery and what you hope to gain from working together. If appropriate, we may begin identifying small, manageable steps to support your nourishment and overall well-being. There is no pressure to change everything at once—recovery is a gradual process, and we will move at a pace that feels supportive and sustainable for you.
