About Kristy
Hi! My name is Kristy- a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist since 2010 with years of experience in outpatient counseling, corporate wellness, weight management, and bariatrics. My junior year of college, I attended a student athlete session about sports nutrition presented by the RD from the Pittsburgh Steelers, and a light bulb went off for me! I knew then that I wanted to be an RD. I have always had a love for sports (I ran track and was a college swimmer) and nutrition, and I couldn't wait to learn more and help others in their health and wellness journey. I then pursued my Master of Science in Dietetics at Ball State University in Indiana. Investing in your health is the greatest gift you can give to yourself, and I am excited to be a part of your journey! When I am not working, you will find me taxiing my three kids around to their school and sporting events, hanging with my husband, reading, running or whipping up a new sourdough recipe.
Approach to care
I believe in a patient-centered approach, and I will be your guide along the way. Nutrition is not a one-size fits all approach and together we will come up with a nutrition plan that works best for you. We will make small goals to make a lasting impact and focus on consistency not perfection.
Your first session with Kristy
Working with me is all about trust, connection, and a judgment- free zone. We will work to get to know each other and make sure we are a good fit. I will ask some questions to get to know your day-to-day life and how we can start small to make long-term changes. I will ask you to pick 1-3 goals to work on for our next session, and the ball is in your court. Your goals are my goals, and I am here to support you along the way.
