About Kyoko
Hello! I am Kyoko (She/Her), a Registered Dietitian in California. My expertise is in providing culturally inclusive and focused care. My priorities lie in ensuring that all people from diverse backgrounds can have access to equitable and accurate nutrition care. During my studies as a Master's student at California State University, Sacramento, I researched cultural food perception on social media and apply this knowledge to my work as a Registered Dietitian.
Approach to care
I put cultural inclusivity and compassion at the forefront of every interaction with my clients. Yes please-- While diet culture may have convinced you otherwise, your cultural foods CAN be part of a healthy diet! We can explore ways do incorporate all foods into a healthy diet. I will help you through an anti-diet approach, with incremental changes for sustainable success. I provide a space to feel accepted, comfortable, and safe in working towards your personal nutrition goals.
Your first session with Kyoko
In our first session, we will focus on getting comfortable with each other. You will help me understand what you want to achieve during our sessions, and then we can work together to make it happen. Then, we will set a couple of short-term goals to kickstart your journey to a healthier you! I can't wait to meet you soon.
