About Lacey
I believe that everyone deserves a healthy relationship with food & their body. Throughout my 4.5 years as a Registered Dietitian, I have helped support my clients as they navigate internal and external barriers to reaching their nutrition goals. I have worked extensively in the eating disorder field in both residential & outpatient programming. This has given me the opportunity to work with people from every background you can think of, struggling with a diverse spectrum of food issues. If you want to reach your nutrition goals AND work on improving your relationship with food & your body, I'd love to be the RD that gets to guide & support you!
Approach to care
I believe in an anti-diet, intuitive eating, weight-neutral approach to nutrition care. This means that I will not use the scale to determine your success and progress. I will not reinforce the belief that there are "good" or "bad" foods. I will help you find a system that works for you, your life and your learning style. I want to make food fun and enjoyable, not stressful and boring. I will meet you where you are at so that you can show up as your best, most nourished self!
Your first session with Lacey
During our first appointment I will be asking a lot of questions with the intention of understanding your story up until this point. At the end of our first session, we will highlight some small goals to focus on during your first week, as well as identifying your overarching long-term goals that we are working towards. This is not a one-size-fits-all approach! Getting to know you and understanding your health journey will help me to ask the right questions and tailor our time together to what is actually important to YOU.
