About Lakelyn
Hi everyone! I'm Lakelyn Lumpkin, a Registered Dietitian who is driven by helping others succeed in any aspect of life. Whether that means losing weight or gaining weight, improving nutrition to perform better at the gym, or simply learning how to eat more mindfully and intuitively, I'm here to support you through it all! My nutrition career began at Louisiana State University where I graduated at the top of my class and received my B.S. in Nutrition and Food Sciences and a minor in Sociology. From there, I continued my studies at the University of South Florida and obtained my Masters in Public Health in Nutrition and Dietetics while simultaneously completing a rigorous 1300-hour dietetic internship at Bay Pines VA Healthcare System. I can't wait to meet you and help you achieve your health goals. Setting up an appointment with me is the first step in the next chapter of your health and wellness journey! And remember- all it takes is being 1% better today than you were yesterday!
Approach to care
Success in any aspect of life is best achieved by working at a pace that YOU are comfortable with. This is why I emphasize small steps towards your goals. I'll help you see that 1% of progress will help you become even better than you were yesterday and even closer to the person you want to become. Whether it is losing or gaining weight, properly fueling yourself to improve athletic performance, or simply eating more mindfully, any goal can be achieved by taking the first step.
Your first session with Lakelyn
During our initial assessment, we’ll take a deep dive into your overall health and lifestyle so I can get the full picture of you. We’ll review your medical history, daily routines, eating habits, exercise patterns, sleep, and stress levels—with an extra special focus on your nutrition. I’ll guide you through a supportive, judgment-free conversation to uncover what’s working, what’s not, and where we can make meaningful changes. Together, we’ll set clear, realistic goals tailored to your life so you leave feeling empowered and ready to take the next step on your wellness journey!
Education
B.S. in Nutrition and Food Sciences and M.P.H. in Nutrition and Dietetics
Hobbies
