About Lara
Hi, I’m Lara! My motto is “To Live Life in your Years,” - caring for your body in a way that supports energy, longevity, and quality of life—not just today, but for years to come. For three year as an RD, I've had the pleasure working with a diverse range of individuals managing complex conditions, including diabetes, weight management (GLP-1 therapies and bariatric surgery), thyroid, liver, and kidney disease, cancer, heart disease, and IBS/IBD.
Approach to care
My approach to care is realistic, sustainable nutrition and lifestyle changes that fit into real life. I use evidence-based research within a patient-centered, judgment-free framework—biases stay at the door. I listen, ask the right questions, and gently challenge you to set goals that are both meaningful and achievable. You’ll gain confidence as you start seeing results, and I’ll make sure you have the support, tools, and resources you need along the way (and yes, we’ll keep things practical—and even a little fun). ----Influenced by my Mediterranean roots, my approach to nutrition emphasizes balance, whole foods, and cultural connection. I enjoy creating nourishing meals with fresh herbs, spices, seasonal produce, lean proteins, and whole grains. I express myself through culturally inspired, nourishing cooking for myself and my loved ones, and I’m always excited to explore new ingredients, flavors, and creative techniques in the kitchen.
Your first session with Lara
Your first session is all about setting the foundation. We’ll review your medical history, lab work, current habits, food preferences, and lifestyle to create a personalized plan aligned with your nutrition goals. This initial appointment is also a chance for us to get to know each other and establish a comfortable, supportive working relationship. Follow-up appointments are designed to build on that foundation—adjusting strategies, refining goals, and supporting progress over time. Each week, we’ll set 2–3 small, achievable “micro-goals.” Sometimes we’ll repeat a goal, sometimes take the next step, and sometimes pivot as life changes—because progress isn’t linear, and that’s okay.
