About Larissa

My drive to becoming a Registered Dietitian stemmed from my desire to translate science into practical, and sustainable habits to improve everyday life. With training and experience across a wide range of clinical settings—including gastroenterology, cardiology, diabetes care, gerontology, bariatric surgery, and public health—I bring a well-rounded perspective to nutrition care. I specialize in supporting clients with metabolic disorders such as obesity and PCOS, those with a history of weight loss surgery, and individuals using GLP-1 medications. I’m also trained in guiding clients who are trying to conceive, or seeking to optimize their nutrition during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Whether you're pursuing weight loss, managing a chronic condition, or working to build a healthier relationship with food, I offer compassionate, client-centered care tailored to your unique goals, preferences, and lifestyle.

Approach to care

Being a nutrition counselor, I'm dedicated and curious to learn about my clients' routines, strengths, barriers, communication styles, and more. After all, the food we eat is not just a breakdown of macronutrients—it’s nourishment, a way to improve our health and well-being, a source of memories, shared time with others, and so much more. All of these elements shape my approach to meeting you where you are and working together to create goals and strategies that align with your health needs and lifestyle. If you're feeling uncertain about your nutrition after a new diagnosis or life change, or simply looking to fine-tune your eating habits, I’m here to help. I believe in empowering you with the tools, knowledge, and support you need to make lasting changes—without judgment, pressure, or one-size-fits-all plans. Together, we’ll build a realistic and enjoyable path toward better health, one step at a time.

Your first session with Larissa

Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other in a safe, judgment-free space. This conversation lays the groundwork for a personalized plan moving forward. I’ll ask about your medical history, dietary and weight background, daily routines, health and lifestyle goals, and any other information you feel comfortable sharing. I also welcome any questions you may have about my background, approach, or experience—this is a collaborative process, and I want you to feel informed and supported every step of the way!
