  • I felt like I connected with Laura. I did notice that I. The original promotion of your facility it said there would be no charge if insurance didn't pay. Now it says I have to refer 3 people in 24 hours in Order for that to happen. You need to verify insurance before my next appt next week as the referrals were not part of the original advertising.

About Laura

Laura Gajda is a Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist with a background in Eating Disorders and mental health diagnoses. Laura graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and completed her internship. She looks forward to providing individualized care to each and every Client. She will work with the client to help each client build their own sense of autonomy around food and decrease the power that food can have over a client's life. Laura has recently also become a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist Consultant (CEDS-C) which means she is able to help train other Dietitians of working within the Eating Disorder realm.

Approach to care

Laura takes a kind and compassionate approach to care. She works to make nutrition easier for people while also realizing that every person is an individual with their own nutritional concerns. Laura strives to make you feel comfortable in your session and allow for you to truly talk about what your concerns are.

Your first session with Laura

The first session is Laura getting to know you. She will usually not assign any homework because coming to the session and opening up, is enough! She understands that embarking on your work with a Dietitian is not a one-stop shop and will work on sustainable changes with you over the courses of your sessions. She will try not to overwhelm you in the initial session but will provide nuggets of information along the way for you to think about.
