About Laura
Hi, I am Laura. With 30 years as a Registered Dietitian, I blend science, compassion, and practical guidance to help people nourish their lives. I earned my Bachelorās in Food Nutrition and Medical Dietetics and I am grateful to hold postnominals that reflect my training and commitment. My career spans Clinical and Hospital settings, Private Practice, Corporate Wellness, and Community Health, including roles as an Educator for weight management classes and as Clinical Dietitian Coordinator for three hospitals. When I am not collaborating with clients, you might find me cooking at home, lifting weights, kickboxing, swimming, trail biking, boating, or scrapbooking. I value curiosity, steady progress, appreciating the outdoors and real life in balance.
Approach to care
Collaboration is at the heart of my care. Iāll bring current, evidence-based nutrition science to our sessions, and I will meet you where you are and move at a pace that feels doable. Iām empathetic and warm, and I believe you deserve whatever pace you feel comfortable with where you can tell your story and ask any questions. Iām direct and action-oriented, translating insights into clear steps and practical strategies you can implement this week. I will be your cheerleader celebrating your successes and guiding you to overcome your challenges. I hold the credentials CD, LDN, and RDN and practice with a Health at Every Size lens and a holistic view of health, focusing on sustainable habits, goal to help you improve the quality and quantity of your life, and a lifelong learning.
Your first session with Laura
Our first appointment is all about you. Think of it as a conversation, not an evaluation. Weāll review your medical history and any recent lab work or biometrics, discuss what matters most to you, and establish short-term goals. You donāt need to have it all figured out before we meet; Iāll guide you, and weāll shape a roadmap that feels doable and motivating. Together weāll cultivate a lifestyle that sustains nourishment and well-being over time. Looking forward to working with you to help you achieve your goals!
