About Laura
You want to feel betterâhave more energy, improve your health, and find a way of eating that actually fits your life. Thatâs where I come in. Iâm a registered dietitian with over a decade of experience in hospitals, rehab centers, and outpatient care. Iâve helped people make realistic, sustainable changes that lead to lasting resultsâlike lower A1C, better heart health, more energy, and an overall sense of well-being. Nutrition doesnât have to be overwhelming. As a mom of four who grew up in a big Italian family, I understand food is more than fuel- itâs also connection, culture, and comfort. Iâll help you discover how food can work for you, with simple, practical solutions that fit your lifestyle in a balanced and sustainable way. Whether you're managing a health condition or simply want to feel better every day, weâll work together to create a personalized plan that helps you thriveâwithout the stress or extremes.
Approach to care
My holistic approach to nutrition is rooted in evidence-based research and guided by empathy, practicality, and a bit of humor. I believe lasting change doesnât come from rigid rules or quick fixesâit comes from understanding, support, and the leeway to make choices that work for you. Weâll focus on building the knowledge and skills that foster confidence and flexibilityâespecially when life doesnât go as planned. Itâs not about overhauling everything at once; itâs about small, intentional shifts that lead to meaningful, lasting change. Education is keyâIâll share science-backed tools tailored to your needs, so you feel informed and empowered, not overwhelmed. Weâll also make time for reflection and adjustments as life evolves. Progress isnât always linearâand thatâs okay. Iâm here as a partner: to celebrate wins, navigate setbacks, and help you build a nourishing, sustainable relationship with foodâand with yourself.
Your first session with Laura
Whether itâs your first or twenty-first visit, you can expect a relaxed, supportive, and judgment-free space. At your first appointment, weâll go through a full nutrition assessment so I can get a clear picture of your health and history. Iâll ask about things like your medical background, medications, labs, eating habits, movement, and sleep. It might feel like a lot of details, but itâs all to help me understand where youâve been and where you want to go with your health. Itâs also a chance for you to get to know meâand for me to get to know youâso we can start building a plan that feels right for you.
