About Laura

Hey there, I've been a Registered Dietitian for over 20 years, and I love helping people optimize their health by making the right adjustments to their eating and lifestyle habits. Cooking and baking are big passions of mine, and I spent a good portion of my career developing and testing recipes for national magazines and cookbooks. I am married and have two active kids, so I understand the challenge that comes with trying to make healthy meals we all enjoy and don't take all day to make! In the past I struggled with long-term digestive symptoms and skin issues, but I overcame them using the power of food and nutrition.

Approach to care

I believe your body is smart and knows exactly how to function well when you provide the right food and nutrition and live your life in a way that supports your best health. My goal with every person I work with is to help you make the right adjustments to your eating and lifestyle habits to support your best health. This is the basis of functional nutrition, which is the way I practice. I will help you make changes that are practical to your lifestyle and goals and help you understand why these changes are important to support your best health. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits all approach to health and wellness and will work with you to create a plan that works for you!

Your first session with Laura

The first session will be all about getting to know more about you, your health goals and your current habits. We’ll talk about what health goals you’d like to reach in the next 3 to 6 months. I will also want to know about your health history and whether you have any specific health symptoms you are trying to improve or overcome. I’ll want to know what you are currently eating and what your lifestyle habits are like. This will all help me put together the best recommendations for you so that you can reach your health goals more effectively. We will also cover some changes that you can start making when you’re ready.
