About Laura

Hi, I’m Laura, a Registered Dietitian with 20 years of experience, proudly serving Austin and the surrounding area. I earned my degree from the University of Texas at Austin and I carry the credentials LD, RD and IFNCP. My career has spanned clinical and hospital settings as well as private practice, which gives me a grounded, real-world perspective on how nutrition touches every part of life. When I’m not seeing clients, I’m out for a run, listening to live music, or cheering my kids on at their softball and baseball games. I value connection, curiosity, and steady, compassionate progress.

Approach to care

My care philosophy blends science and humanity. I rely on evidence-based strategies to tailor plans that fit your life, not the other way around. I’m empathetic and warm, meeting you where you are with no judgment and no pressure. Our work is collaborative, focusing on sustainable habits and long-term change through a weight-neutral lens. I view you holistically, considering sleep, stress, movement, and food as parts of a thriving life. I’ll educate you along the way so you feel confident making choices that align with your values.

Your first session with Laura

Our first appointment is all about you. We’ll start by reviewing your medical history and learning about how food fits into your everyday life. You don’t need to have it all figured out yet; this is a low-pressure, collaborative conversation. We’ll explore your goals, your routines, and what has or hasn’t worked in the past, with plenty of space for questions. By the end, we’ll set a couple of realistic steps you can begin implementing right away, and we’ll decide together how we’ll stay connected on the path forward.
