About Laura

I have been a registered dietitian for over 25 years and have practiced in a variety of settings across the lifespan allowing me to obtain a broad range of expertise. My husband and I have 3 adult children who along with their spouses are growing our little family which makes my heart sing! Family and friends are so important to me, I love spending time with them, which hits the refresh button for me. I am very passionate about helping people and spend most of my time doing so. My family owns a dog kennel, Bloomsdale Bunkhouse, where we offer boarding, grooming and training services. I spend a lot of my free time caring for the boarding dogs. I also enjoy time in the outdoors at our lake, just taking in the peaceful scenery in the hills of Missouri.

Approach to care

I consider myself an educator. I like to educate you on nutrition and diet principles so you can apply the knowledge yourself for long term success. I want my clients to feel comfortable and confident in their own journey with no judgement from me. Everyone has a story and are on their own journey towards meeting their personal goals. I like to meet you where you're at and establish a solid understanding of where we're headed.

Your first session with Laura

In your first session with me, we will review your medical history and any medical data that is pertinent to your situation. We will discuss your challenges, goals, nutrition knowledge and usual dietary patterns or intake. This will help guide us on our path in working together and determine where we will start in the education process.
