About Laura

Nutrition and wellness have always been a passion of mine, but have become even more central to my life as I began to see family members and friends struggle with chronic health issues and disease. Perusing a career as a Registered Dietitian has allowed me to identify nutrition and lifestyle strategies that mitigate and prevent the development of a variety of these conditions. Through completing my Master's in Applied Nutrition with the University of New England, I've gained two years of foundational experiences across clinical hospital settings, community health programs and research. I especially enjoy translating evidence-based nutrition into holistic and practical plans that are useful for the long-term. Off the clock and depending on the season, you’ll find me backcountry or cross-country skiing, running, hiking, swimming, cooking and baking, or exploring trails with my dogs.

Scientific evidence guides my recommendations, but your lifestyle and preferences will guide your individualized plan. I combine current research with empathy and understanding so we can co-create attainable, action-oriented steps that fit your daily life. I work from a weight-neutral perspective, focusing on wellbeing rather than the scale. Together we’ll build sustainable habits that honor your physical, mental, and emotional needs. I’ll also explain the "why" behind nutrition recommendations so you feel confident making informed choices.

Your first session with Laura

During our initial visit we’ll have a relaxed conversation to get a full picture of your medical history, lifestyle and any nutritional concerns you may have. Together we’ll set short-term goals that are specific and manageable, and you’ll leave feeling empowered with practical next steps towards a plan that supports your health journey. I will always be available to help along the way with any questions or concerns that may come up between appointments.
