About Laura
Laura Tanguturi: Hello! I'm Laura Tanguturi, a registered dietitian focused on weight management and cardiac health. My goal is to support you in losing weight and maintaining that success while helping you look and feel fantastic. My philosophy is grounded in scientific evidence, providing a solid foundation for the strategies we implement together. I enjoyed my time as a college athlete playing tennis.
Approach to care
Instead of enforcing strict dietary rules, I emphasize balance and flexibility in your diet. I don’t believe in cutting out entire food groups or dictating specific eating times. I focus on creating balanced meals that nourish your body and pair nutrition with physical fitness, fostering a sustainable lifestyle. In our weekly sessions, we'll build a trusting partnership. Accountability is about collaboration and support, allowing us to celebrate successes and navigate challenges together. I teach principles of nutrition that promote lifelong learning. Rather than restrictive diets, I advocate balanced eating with a variety of foods. I encourage finding enjoyable physical activities to celebrate what your body can do, ensuring exercise is a positive experience.
Your first session with Laura
In our first session it will last about 1 hour. I will get to know you through your medical history, obtain medication and supplements you take, work/life balance, your food preferences, your personal goals, your health concerns, your fitness/activity. We will discuss a road map that you are comfortable with.

Hobbies
I LOVE tennis, I enjoy all holidays and decorating my house, I play a lot with recipes and substitutions to help me and my family enjoy favorite food items, but in a more healthy way. I also love entertaining at my house around the holidays.
