About Laurel
Hi, I’m a Registered Dietitian with a lifelong passion for food, nutrition, and movement. I proudly consider myself a foodie—someone who loves exploring new flavors, cooking styles, and cuisines from a wide range of cultures and ethnic backgrounds. My background in movement and exercise is just as diverse. I’ve participated in a wide variety of sports and activities including dance, yoga, soccer, swimming, softball and hiking. I even worked professionally as a dancer, an experience that deeply shaped my understanding of performance, fueling, and body awareness. Most recently, I stepped outside my comfort zone and began taking gymnastics for the first time ever as an adult—because growth, like health, is a lifelong journey.
Approach to care
My goal is to help individuals build a positive relationship with food, feel confident in their bodies, and fuel their lives in a way that supports both health and happiness. I believe food is meant to be both nourishing and enjoyable, and that balance is at the heart of my approach to nutrition.
Your first session with Laurel
At our first session, we will spend some time getting to know each other. I like to get an in-depth history, including exercise, food, nutrition, what your relationship with food looks like, and anything else that might be helpful to know that can allow me to support you during our sessions.
