About Lauren

Hi! I’m Lauren — a registered dietitian, working mom, and self-proclaimed picky eater who totally gets that nutrition advice can sometimes feel out of touch. I didn’t grow up with a fridge full of options or a pantry stocked for fun. I grew up in a family with limited resources, and that experience shaped everything about how I approach nutrition today. For the past 10 years, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals and families navigating tight budgets, busy schedules, and big challenges. Whether it’s figuring out how to make $40 stretch for the week or finding a version of ā€œhealthyā€ that actually works in real life, I’m here for it — and for you.

Approach to care

My approach is simple: meet you where you are, not where you ā€œshouldā€ be. I’m not here to hand out a perfect meal plan or tell you to swap everything for quinoa (unless you like quinoa — in which case, carry on). Instead, I focus on realistic, doable changes that fit your life, your preferences, and your budget. Whether we’re talking blood sugar, emotional eating, or just figuring out how to feed yourself without losing your mind, I’ll help you find solutions that feel good and make sense long-term. No shame. No food rules. Just support, strategy, and maybe a few laughs along the way.

Your first session with Lauren

Our first session is all about you. I want to hear your story — what’s working, what’s not, and what’s getting in the way. We’ll explore and identify your goals and start building a plan that feels manageable and right for your life. You don’t need to prepare anything ahead of time, and you definitely don’t need to impress me. Come as you are — whether that’s overwhelmed, motivated, skeptical, or just tired. I’ve been there too, and I promise we’ll take it one step at a time.

Hobbies

I don’t always have time for hobbies, but boy do I have a list of ones I would like to try! Taking care of myself takes up most of my energy some days — and that’s okay. Shout out to my fellow neurodivergent folks trying to find balance in the chaos. My tried and true hobbies are: thrifting/shopping clearance, dreaming up new business ideas, and getting lost in a good spreadsheet. When things are quiet (which is rare), I like binge-watching shows and spending time outside, usually laying in the sun pretending I’m a plant photosynthesizing.
