About Lauren
Food, movement and making things with my hands, like cooking and textiles, ground my life outside the clinic. With six years as a Registered Dietitian and an MS in Nutrition Science from the College of St Elizabeth, I draw on hospital, acute, and subacute experience to help people in Somerville, New Jersey. I love hiking and movement, and I bring that same curiosity to translating research into practical, approachable tools we can use together.
Approach to care
Evidence and empathy guide how I work. I use current research to inform clear, practical steps, while meeting you where you are without judgment. I practice from a weight-neutral, Health At Every Size perspective, focusing on behavior change and overall well-being rather than scale numbers. We'll learn together, build sustainable habits, and set realistic actions so you can make informed choices that last.
Your first session with Lauren
We'll begin by reviewing your medical history and any recent hospital or acute care notes, then talk through what matters most to you right now. This is a low-pressure, judgment-free conversation, so you don't need to have everything figured out. Together we'll identify short-term, realistic goals and leave with a couple of practical steps you can try before our next visit.
