Patient reviews
“I’ve had 4 or so sessions with Lauren while 3-4months postpartum with my 2nd kid. She has truly helped me navigate healthy options, optimal nutrients to support nursing, steady weightloss, and logistical planning for household meal prep while on maternity leave and planning for when I am back to work. It’s been great working with her - she always has an interesting insight, resource, or tool that I hadn’t thought of. “

About Lauren
Hi! I'm Lauren. As a mom of three young kiddos under five years old and military spouse, I understand the chaos that comes with running a household and I enjoy working with other parents and kids in this busy time of life. Or, maybe you're looking for an RD to support you in weight loss and/or improving your relationship with food. I would love to work with you! Since becoming an RD in 2018, I've primarily worked with children, families, and prenatal/postpartum clients. My career began in the public sector at WIC and now I work at a nonprofit with focus on family developmental and therapeutic services. I firmly believe in meeting individuals where they are at and focusing on a collaborative, supportive relationship. Nutrition is a piece of a dynamic puzzle and everyone deserves an individualized approach. Whether you're experiencing kiddos with "picky eating", eating healthy on a budget, improving cooking skills, or struggling with nausea in pregnancy, we can find a solution!
Approach to care
My approach to care is non-judgmental, realistic, and individualized. Everyone's situation is so different. We will work together, at your pace, to make sustainable lifestyle changes that you are content with. I am in your corner and a friend in this process.
Your first session with Lauren
The first session is for us to chat about you and build a trusting foundation. We will discuss your lifestyle, things that are going well, areas you'd like to see improvements, and discuss short-term and long-term goals. You may feel excited, cautious, or unsure, which are all normal. By the end of the first appointment, we will have 1-2 goals set to work on before our next visit.
