About Lauren

Hi, I’m Lauren, a Registered Dietitian and LD, glad you’re here. I bring seven years of experience across clinical and hospital settings, private practice, sports nutrition, and specialized eating disorder care, including intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs, plus work with a Major League Baseball team. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in exercise science and a second degree in Human Nutrition and Environmental Sciences, and I completed post graduate work at Yale New Haven Hospital and Medical Center. Outside of work, I love weight lifting, running, yoga, drawing, pottery, and hiking. I’m excited to help you build a healthier relationship with food and feel confident in your goals.

Approach to care

My care philosophy is based on a holistic approach. I rely on evidence-based practices while staying curious and flexible to your lived experience. I’ll guide you in a nonjudgmental way; translating nutrition science into practical steps you can actually follow. We’ll prioritize sustainable habits over quick fixes. We’ll consider mental, emotional, and physical well-being as a whole, and I’ll educate you so you can make informed choices confidently. I believe your goal can be effected by more than just what you eat but also when you eat and what nutrients you may need more of that might be effecting your energy or hindering you reaching your goals.

Your first session with Lauren

Our first appointment is all about you. Expect to have an in-depth discussion about your goals, what you feel are negatives in your life currently, take me through your current eating routine and what you usually eat (no judgement!!) so that we can understand what your baseline is and what the plan will be moving forward to take you week by week to get to your goals. We’ll review your medical history and biomarkers, explore your relationship with food, and set short-term goals that feel achievable. We’ll discuss your lab work and biometrics when available, and take a look at your current exercise regimen to understand how activity fits your life. No pressure to have everything figured out—just come as you are, and we’ll build a practical plan together with clear next steps that support your pace and priorities.
