About Lauren
Hi! My name is Lauren and I'm a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist with over 15 years of experience in the field. I've worked in a variety of settings and have found I love the one-on-one relationships outpatient counseling fosters. Finding a dietitian who is the right fit can be a challenge. I strive to make my clients feel heard and validated in a nonjudgmental space. Food is fuel, and I believe every food can fit into a healthy lifestyle.
Approach to care
I empower clients to make behavior changes. We'll partner together to help you reach your goals. You are in charge; I'm just here to assist. I'll listen with empathy, without judgment. I'm confident you'll feel supported and comfortable during our sessions together. I look forward to working with you!
Your first session with Lauren
You can expect a laid back get to know you session during our first meeting together. I'd love to get an understanding of your needs, goals and motivators. We'll review your food and cultural preferences before coming up with a plan of action. Every food fits. I may live in Virginia but I'm a true New Jersey girl at heart, and my absolute favorite food is pizza. If someone told me I could never eat a slice of pizza again I'd throw a fit! Together we'll figure out a way to incorporate the foods you love into a healthy lifestyle.
