About Lauren
As a lifelong athlete, I recognized the impact of what and how I ate had on my athletic performance. This alongside a love for all things food related, led me to obtain a B.S. in Dietetics from the University of Connecticut and M.S. in Nutrition from Boston University. As a performance RD with an extensive background in sports nutrition and eating disorders, I provide evidenced-based recommendations tailored to your needs. My experience as a RD has led me to support athletes with a variety of backgrounds, in addition to individuals recovering from disordered eating. I most recently held a full-time position with O2X Human Performance, as the RD with The Massachusetts National Guard.
Approach to care
I embody the term conviviality when approaching nutrition and self-compassion in my work as a dietitian with a holistic lens and anti-diet approach. With a large passion for the work that I do and those that I serve, I aim to open your perspective and empower you with the tools to create sustainable nutrition habits, while fostering a positive relationship with food and self. Besides a sense of humor, I approach nutrition coaching in a non-judgmental and direct manner, providing compassionate care while being a source of accountability to keep you moving toward your goals.
Your first session with Lauren
Let's get to know each other! Building a trusting relationship between client and provider is essential for success. We’ll take an in-depth look at your medical history, dietary intake, relationship with food, and training level in order to create a personalized plan to support your nutrition and performance goals. You'll leave this session with an idea of the 'big picture' while focusing on 1-2 small goals that we'll continue to build upon.
