About Lauren
A registered dietitian with over 15+ years of experience working in a variety of settings including residential treatment, outpatient counseling, long-term care, acute-care, pediatric nutrition and a women's clinic that treated prenatal and postpartum mammas. For the past decade, I've specialized in eating disorders/disordered eating behaviors. Outside of my RD license, I have my certified dietary manager license. I'm a mom to a few kiddos and doggies!
Approach to care
Lauren supports the use of an "all foods fit" or "everything in moderation" approach. Whether we are working on disordered eating, weight management, or blood sugar abnormalities, the person as a whole (mind, body, and spirit) must be considered. Approaching clients from a nutrition therapist perspective, allows a safe space to create life-changing goals that leads clients to feeling good about one's self.
Your first session with Lauren
Compassion and validation is a must during the first session and continued throughout your nutrition journey. Participating in a "get to know you" session while obtaining a history and learning what the client would like to get out of each session. A meal plan and medical nutritional therapy may be provided.
