About Lauren
Hello! I am Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist in Western North Carolina. I am married with two young children ages 8 and 5. I have been a dietitian for 13 years where I most recently worked in an outpatient setting in a local community hospital providing nutrition education to all ages and a variety of health conditions. I am very passionate about helping patients meet their health goals.
Approach to care
My approach to care is collaborative. I will work with you to reach your health goals as you start your nutrition journey. I believe that all foods fit into a balanced diet and we will work together to create a personalized approach to help you become confident in nourishing your body. I will use evidence-based nutrition strategies to help you reach your goals.
Your first session with Lauren
In our first session, I love to build rapport quickly as we know trust is key to a strong partnership and later successful outcomes. I will ask questions about your overall health and what is motivating you to work on your health so that I can understand more. This will be part of my Comprehensive Nutrition Assessment. This information will be helpful as we develop a personalized plan by the end of the first session. We will also set short and long term goals based on your input of what is important to you and your health goals. Each follow-up appointment we will work dig deeper and work on your goals.
