About Laurie

Laurie is a registered dietitian with ten years of experience. She began her career in corporate wellness before developing her specialty in pediatric nutrition. She has helped children and teens with gut symptoms associated with celiac disease, IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), constipation, diarrhea, IBD (inflammatory bowel disease), GERD, EoE, SIBO, slow stomach emptying and more. She has counseled adults and children struggling with emotional eating, fatty liver disease and pre-diabetes. She also has considerable experience in tube feeding, including homemade blends, intensive tube weaning, and long term nutrition monitoring.

Approach to care

As a dietitian, she's passionate about two things: food and helping people. Laurie uses evidence-based medicine and the patient's own lived experiences to create a comprehensive treatment plan. Her approach is to be the nutrition detective working alongside you to help you reach your health goals. She believes any food can fit into a healthful diet.

Your first session with Laurie

First, I will get to know you and your goals. Please have your health history, medications, and dietary supplements handy for our first visit. We will discuss your current eating habits, and your personal goals. I will get to know you as the expert in your own life, so I will ask lots of questions and actively listen before we work together on developing a plan. We will come up with a small goal to work on until the next session. I'm looking forward to working with you!
