About Laurie
Food and nutrition have been central to my life long before I sat in a classroom. My Master of Science in Nutrition and 25 years as a registered dietitian, working in community health and clinical settings, shaped how I help people achieve changes. As an RDN and LD I bring practical, real-world experience and a love of cooking, regular exercise, and family time to our work together. We'll prioritize habits that fit your life, not temporary fixes.
Approach to care
I use science as my map and empathy as my compass. Grounded in evidence and shaped by 25 years of clinical and community practice, I offer clear, direct steps we can try together. I focus on sustainable, weight-neutral strategies that emphasize behaviors and overall well-being rather than quick fixes. Working holistically, I teach the skills you need and provide accountability, so you gain confidence and long-term results without judgment.
Your first session with Laurie
Think of the first visit as a calm, low-pressure conversation where we review your medical history, current labs or biometrics, and what matters most to you. We'll talk through routines, barriers, and realistic priorities, then establish short-term, actionable goals you can start right away. You do not need to have everything figured out, just bring your questions. Together we'll create a practical plan and clear next steps that fit your life.
