About Lauryn
Hi, I'm Lauryn. I'm a registered dietitian with a year of experience helping people build healthier relationships with food. I earned my B.S. and M.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics from Virginia Tech, and I’ve worked in sports nutrition where practicality meets science. When I’m not at the desk, you’ll find me baking, lifting or running, or exploring new coffee shops. I’m here to meet you where you are and walk with you toward sustainable, enjoyable change.
Approach to care
My care philosophy blends evidence-based nutrition with genuine warmth. I treat you as a whole person and will be transparent about what the science says while listening to your values, routines, and goals. We’ll set clear, doable steps that you can sustain, not a chaotic plan you can’t fit in. I practice with a HAES mindset and a holistic lens, focusing on health, behavior, and well-being rather than chasing a number on the scale. Education and empathy go hand in hand, empowering you to make informed choices.
Your first session with Lauryn
Our first appointment is all about you. We'll review your medical history and take a deeper look at your relationship with food. We'll talk about what has mattered in your life, what you want to change, and what feels doable this week. You don't need to have it all figured out yet, just show up as you are. By the end, we'll have 1 to 2 short-term goals to get you moving in a sustainable direction, with a clear sense of how we'll work together in the coming weeks.
