About Leah
Hello! My name is Leah, and I have always had a strong interest in diet and health, which is why I chose to become a Registered Dietitian. I have worked in public health in two different states and in a hospital setting. Outside of dietetics, I have worked as a K - 12 teacher, an art teacher, a props master, and as a Community Health Worker with Medicaid recipients.
Approach to care
Why do Americans eat so many "foods" that aren't really food? What are the unhealthy foods you are drawn to on a regular basis? My goal is for you to recognize, avoid, and replace these ingredients in your diet with much better choices to benefit your health. With this knowledge, you will be equipped to make healthier food choices for a healthier life.
Your first session with Leah
I will spend time getting to know you and the factors that affect your food choices--food preferences, food availability, schedule, work/home environment, favorite foods, foods you dislike, food allergies/intolerances, and your philosophy on eating in vs dining out. I will also spend time learning about your food knowledge. From this information, I will develop a personalized treatment plan just for you.
