About Leah
Hi, I'm Leah. I'm a Registered Dietitian with an MS in Nutrition Science from Abilene Christian University. I have one year of experience in clinical and hospital settings, where I’ve learned how teamwork, curiosity, and compassion help people build healthier habits. I hold the LD and RD postnominals with pride. Outside the clinic you’ll find me hiking, cooking, practicing yoga, or getting lost in a good book. I’m excited to meet you and learn what matters most to you.
Approach to care
My care philosophy is grounded in evidence-based practice; I stay current with research and translate it into practical steps you can actually use. I work with you in a collaborative, nonjudgmental way to explore how food fits into every part of your life. I practice with a weight-neutral, HAES-informed lens and I believe lasting change comes from sustainable habits, not quick fixes. Education is central; I’ll help you understand the why behind our plan so you can own your health and your choices.
Your first session with Leah
Our first appointment is a conversation, not a test. We'll start by reviewing your medical history and current health concerns, discuss your daily routines and preferences, and establish short-term goals we can realistically pursue together. We'll also review lab work and biometrics so we have a clear, data-informed starting point. There is no need to have it all figured out before we meet; we’ll take it step by step, at a pace that feels safe and doable for you.
