About Leah
A new addition to Nourish, Leah brings over a decade of experience in the field of nutrition. She received Clinical Nutrition training to became a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist at Yale School of Medicine's internship program in Connecticut and began her career as an inpatient dietitian at the teaching hospital affiliated with Yale School of Medicine. Throughout her career, she has worked with individuals presenting a broad spectrum of health conditions. Leah's passion lies in assisting individuals to enhance their health, learn about nutrition, and encourage a positive relationship with food. She is committed to empathy and fostering courage through one's health journey. Leah's extensive training, years of practice, and personal life experiences with diabetes, having a food allergy, and experiencing diet progression from tube feeding to regular food uniquely position her to support and guide her clients effectively, regardless of their health goals or diagnoses.
Approach to care
Leah understands that nutrition can seem complicated and overwhelming. She assists her clients in envisioning their desired future health and lifestyle, and then breaking down that target into achievable steps to reach that vision. Leah firmly believes in the importance of reflecting on factors that influence our food choices and overall health, such as past experiences, emotions, life stressors, financial constraints, and social relationships. She guides clients in making gradual changes to cultivate healthier habits, ultimately leading to sustainable long-term results.
