About Leen
Hi, I'm Leen - a California based dietitian. My intense passion for nutrition led me to complete a BS in Nutrition and Dietetics from CSULB, an MPH with a focus on Health Policy and Health Education from UCLA, and my Dietetic Internship at the VA Medical Center. My work includes graduate research on eating disorder prevention in young adolescents and hands-on clinical experience in the hospital setting. My educational and professional experiences have shaped my counseling philosophy to support clients in a way that is compassionate, flexible, and encouraging. I am very excited to walk along with you in your journey of optimizing your health!
Approach to care
My care philosophy is heavily shaped by evidence-based practice. I stay grounded in current science while meeting you where you are, avoiding judgment, and rushing towards quick fixes. I believe health and nutrition are very personal, and for that reason, there is never a "one size fits all" solution. Together, we'll work on building practical habits that honor your life, preferences, and values. My approach is holistic, educational, and designed to empower you to nourish yourself confidently. For that reason, I focus on overall behavior and health outcomes rather than weight alone in isolation.
Your first session with Leen
Our first appointment is a conversation about you. We'll review your medical history and discuss lifestyle factors, nutrition goals, and daily routines. Together we'll clarify what's most important, explore what has worked in the past, and set achievable goals to start. I'm here to guide you with kindness, accountability, and practical steps towards lasting change.
