About Leonie
Leonie E. Genus-Cowan is a licensed registered dietitian with over 30 years of professional experience. She began her career as a dietetic technician before advancing to the role of registered dietitian. Throughout her career, Leonie has worked across a wide range of nutrition and dietetics settings, including food service management, hospitals, long-term care facilities, dialysis centers, home care services, and community-based programs. Leonie has been recognized for her excellence with the Espirit Award from the Visiting Nurse Service of New York. Her academic background includes an associate degree in dietetic technology from LaGuardia Community College, a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics from Pratt Institute and a master of science degree from the School of Education, Health, Nursing and Arts Professions at New York University.
