About Leslie
Howdy - I'm Leslie Edwards, MS, RDN, LD, CSOWM. I bring five years of experience in both clinical hospital settings (bariatric center) and private practice, and adjunct instructing. I earned my BS in Dietetics from The Ohio State University and MS in Kinesiology and Health from Miami University. I specialize in obesity and weight management and strive to help people find balanced, flexible diet patterns that help support health and weight goals. I am also a certified personal trainer (CPT) and registered yoga teacher (RYT) so can help bridge food and movement. Outside of work, I love cooking, staying active with workouts and yoga, playing sports, learning ASL, doing puzzles, and practicing guitar. I’m here to meet you where you are and walk with you toward sustainable habits that fit your life. I will not promise you a quick fix; health and wellness is a journey, but I am here to support you however possible.
Approach to care
My care philosophy is simple and human. I ground my guidance in current research while keeping it practical, so we can translate science into habits you can actually sustain. I lead with empathy, meeting you without judgment and honoring your goals, routines, and values. I believe in a holistic view that considers sleep, stress, movement, and nourishment. I understand that weight/BMI doesn't directly correlate to good health so we can discuss a comfortable size that you'll feel good in regardless of that number. Together we’ll build knowledge and skills, so you feel confident making choices that fit your life for the long term.
Your first session with Leslie
Our first appointment is a conversation about you. We'll review your medical history and any labs or biometrics, explore your relationship with food, and set short-term goals. I aim for a warm, collaborative space where you feel supported, not judged. You don’t need to have everything figured out ahead of time; we’ll learn what education or resources will help you reach your goals. By the end, you’ll have a clear sense of next steps and a plan that fits your life.
