About Leslie
Hi! I'm Leslie Lopez, a registered dietitian who understands how confusing nutrition can be. I became a dietitian after developing a love for cooking and baking by helping my mom prepare meals for my large family (I have four brothers and one sister). A lifelong battle with my weight led me to structure some college nutrition classes to address this struggle. Now that I'm older, aging gracefully and maintaining muscle is my goal so I have a keen interest in perimenopause and menopause. As a mom, childhood nutrition is another interest. I have worked with high school sports teams to discuss fueling before, during, and after workouts and games. I have been a dietitian for over 25 years with experience in clinical nutrition, private consulting, and I have served as an adjunct professor. I tailor my own continuing education classes to address all of these areas, plus whatever sounds interesting at the time. I have three adult children and one grandson.
