About Liliek

My name is Liliek Hsiao and I’ve been a Registered Dietitian since 1997, with experience working with both adults and children in settings such as telemedicine, home health, and leading children’s hospitals. After taking time away from the profession to homeschool my children and care for a loved one during a cancer journey, I returned to practice with a renewed passion, supporting adults through telehealth as they manage chronic conditions and work toward sustainable, nourishing lifestyle changes. I'm here to walk alongside you as you take steps toward better health, helping you improve your eating habits in a way that supports you in your health journey.

Approach to care

I provide personalized, evidence-based nutrition care, and I value the unique insights you bring through your lived experiences. I believe food should nourish your body and bring joy, not guilt or stress. Food is more than fuel; it’s cultural, relational, and social. I use a food-first, lifestyle-integrated approach and believe in a collaborative process where you're an active participant in your health journey. With my support, you'll be equipped to make informed decisions, take meaningful action, and build sustainable habits that support healing, disease prevention, and overall well-being. Above all, I aim to create a nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, supported, challenged, and empowered.

Your first session with Liliek

Our first session is all about getting to know you. I’ll ask questions about your health history, daily habits, motivations, and goals so I can understand what matters most to you. Together, we’ll identify long-term goals as well as short-term steps you can take right away. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with at least one clear, actionable goal to work on. In our follow-ups, we’ll reflect on your progress, discuss any challenges, and adjust your plan so it continues to fit your life, even through its ups and downs. It takes courage to seek support, and I’m honored to partner with you on your path to a healthier, more nourished you.

Hobbies

Outside of my professional work, I enjoy everything food-related—procuring, cooking, baking, growing and eating it! My faith is a significant part of my life, and I find joy in mentoring and serving in my community.
