About Linda
My love for nutrition began after I attended a lecture by Biochemist, Covert Bailey in 1987. The science of nutrition and metabolism fascinated me on how food fuels the body! I have been a Registered Dietitian for over 30 years with a primary focus in general health and diabetes education. More recently my career path has focused on corporate wellness and health coaching to help individuals achieve their wellness goals to live their best life. I enjoy working with people ready to find their bigger "why" on their path to wellness. I believe in creating a partnership with patients to discuss tips and strategies to improve health. I blend nutrition education, psychology and mindfulness into conversations.
Approach to care
A patient centered approach works best for my most successful clients. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with patients, answering questions and facilitating nutrition and food conversations that align with treatments in place with your care team. As a dietitian partner, we will work together on your wellness priorities. Sessions will blend nutrition education with tips to incorporate into your lifestyle. I will be an advocate for your path to optimal health, and help you meet your health and wellness goals. Through respectful, open and honest communication we can uncover together where intrinsic motivation exists to help you evolve into who you want to be. I help clients be 1% better every day!
Your first session with Linda
At our first session we will review pertinent health history and current treatment plans suggested by your care team. We will explore the end goal you wish to achieve and prioritize the top three behaviors it will take to get there. I prefer to discuss action-oriented behaviors, or new habits you feel will be the most impactful to move you towards your goal. Using available tools and resources such as meal plans, recipes, and journaling we will begin the process of behavior change. I help patients focus on consistency rather than intensity to establish long term healthy habits.
