Patient reviews

  • I have met with Lisa two times and have really enjoyed my experience so far. I have never worked with the dietitian before and for some reason have always been a little hesitant. Lisa is very easy to talk to, and has given me little tips and tricks to add nutrients into my diet. She is very client focused and wants to come up with solutions that are feasible and realistic. I would highly recommend her!

About Lisa

I come from a very food-focused family. My parents were Italian and food was always central to my life. My dad had diabetes, and my mom was on every diet known to man! Nutrition seemed like the perfect career path. I started work as a hospital/clinical dietitian but also have experience in community and culinary nutrition. I started a private practice to encourage people that "health is in their hands". I have a very strong clinical background having worked in a MICU (intensive care unit) and SICU (surgical intensive care unit) for several years. I am the author of 3 cookbooks and several nutrition- and health-related articles. I specialize in autoimmune diseases, metabolic conditions (diabetes, pre-diabetes, cardiovascular disease, weight management), aging, and women's health.

Approach to care

I like to take a personalized approach to nutrition counseling and want clients to find enjoyable ways to improve their health. I focus on "what can we add to your diet" versus, "what should we take away". I offer sustainable ways to meet your health goals and personalize nutrition information based on culture, food preferences/tolerances, lifestyle, budget, and skill level.
