About Lisa
Lisa has more than 20 years of experience helping people reach their health and wellness goals. She started her career in critical care/nutrition support and gradually moved into one-on-one counseling/coaching. She has worked in many different specialties, but her true passion lies in intuitive eating/mindful eating and helping people develop a deeper insight into what makes their individual body work best and feel best. She strives to help her clients find peace with their bodies and empowerment over their health. As a health coach as well, she takes a more holistic approach and believes that nourishment does not stop at what you eat.
Approach to care
Lisa's approach to care is open-minded, gentle, compassionate, insightful and intuitive. Her coaching education has taught her that listening with intent and curiosity, asking powerful questions and forming a deep understanding of who you are and what you are looking to achieve is the best way to empower her clients to move towards their goals. She feels that you are the expert in your care, and she is the guide. Her approach is non-judgmental, non- diet based and weight neutral. She believes each person is a unique individual and she tries to steer away from cookie cutter, one-size-fits all plans.
Your first session with Lisa
In your first session with Lisa, she will spend time really getting to know you. She gives you the stage and gently guides you to develop a deeper understanding of your mindset, feelings and behaviors around food and your body. She will help you clarify your goals and what you want to get out of nutrition coaching. Together you will develop a dynamic action plan that is sustainable and based on science and not quick fix fads.
