About Lisa
Hi! Iβm Lisa, a Registered Dietitian with more than 20 years of experience helping people improve their health through realistic, sustainable changes. Over the years, I have worked with clients navigating a wide range of concerns including weight management, diabetes and prediabetes, heart health, kidney disease, menopause, emotional eating, and healthy aging. I love helping people build habits that support their health while still enjoying food and everyday life. I attended the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!), which still brings out some friendly SEC rivalry in my family during football season. Outside of work, I enjoy practicing Tai Chi, experimenting with sourdough baking, relaxing by the pool with friends during the summer, and getting lost in a good book. I am also a longtime animal lover and passionate about animal welfare.
Approach to care
I believe nutrition should support your life and not make it more stressful or restrictive. My approach focuses on building practical, sustainable habits that fit your lifestyle rather than following rigid diets or one size fits all plans. I take a collaborative and compassionate approach to care and work closely with each client to understand their goals, routines, preferences, and challenges. Together we will work to find strategies that truly fit your life. We focus on creating balanced meals, developing accountability, incorporating enjoyable movement, and strengthening your relationship with food. My goal is to help you feel supported, understood, and empowered while making meaningful changes that can last long term. Small, consistent steps often lead to the most lasting improvements in health and well being.
Your first session with Lisa
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and talk about what matters most to you. Many clients come to their first session feeling unsure where to start, and that is completely okay. We will talk about your health history, lifestyle, eating patterns, movement, sleep, stress, and any goals you would like to work toward. Together we will identify a few realistic starting points and create simple strategies that fit naturally into your daily life. My goal is for you to leave the session feeling supported, encouraged, and confident about your next steps. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions, sharing your experiences, and moving at a pace that works for you. I am here to guide and support you as you build habits that truly work for your life. You do not need to have everything figured out before we begin. We will take it one step at a time together.
