About Lisa
I have been a registered dietitian for over 20 years and I am passionate about helping individuals achieve their goals, prevent disease and manage disease. I went to the University of Nebraska for my undergraduate and post graduate studies. I then ventured to New York City for my dietetic internship at New York Presbyterian Hospital. Over the years I have spent time in the clinical setting, working in hospitals and in the outpatient setting, managing and preventing disease. My love for helping others, having empathy while building relationships, and my outgoing personality, have always been my strengths in achieving success.
Approach to care
I utilize motivational interviewing and intuitive eating strategies, which ultimately lead to client-driven care. I encourage you, the client, to create goals that work best for your lifestyle and I will help guide you, keep you accountable, and find realistic ways to meet your needs and achieve success. I am proficient in diabetes, heart health, gut disorders, pediatric nutrition, hormonal disorders and weight loss/weight restoration. I look forward to working with you and helping you find a life balance and successful outcomes.
Your first session with Lisa
I start each session by getting to know you, finding out what motivates you, what sets you back, and how we can work together to achieve success! I believe that motivational interviewing is the key to a positive and trusting relationship. I will provide a clear summary of the session, taking into account any challenges and always celebrating wins!
