About Lisa
My name is Lisa, and I am a registered dietitian with a background in public health. I bring a well-rounded perspective from my earlier work as a medical assistant in cardiology and nephrology, as well as a scrub technician in dialysis access. As a dietitian, I’ve gained experience in maternal and child health, supporting clients through pregnancy, postpartum, breastfeeding, and early childhood nutrition. My approach to care is client-centered, meaning I believe nutrition should be individualized for each person’s unique history, needs, and goals. I am passionate about creating supportive, personalized plans that empower others to feel confident and cared for on their health journey. Since the world of nutrition is always evolving, I value continued learning so I can provide the best guidance possible for every individual I work with.
Approach to care
My approach is rooted in client-centered care. This means I focus on you as an individual; your unique history, needs, preferences, and goals rather than using a one-size-fits-all plan. I take the time to understand your health and nutrition background, food preferences, daily routines, and lifestyle so we can build a plan that feels realistic and sustainable for you. I also like to look at your relationship with food, activity level, stress, and sleep since these all affect your overall well-being. My role is to provide a supportive, judgment-free space where you feel comfortable sharing your experiences and asking questions. Together, we’ll set meaningful goals and create a personalized path that helps you feel confident and supported as you move forward on your health journey.
Your first session with Lisa
In our first session, I want to get to know you so I can better support your unique needs. This includes your goals, health history, nutrition habits, and food preferences. We’ll also talk about your lifestyle, including activity, stress, and sleep, since all of these impact your overall well-being. You’ll have plenty of time to share questions or concerns, and together we’ll set a few realistic goals to help you feel confident moving forward.
